Baseball Game Preview: Elkhorn Antlers vs. Wahoo/Bishop Neumann Warriors

Elkhorn has gone a perfect 6-0 against Wahoo/Bishop Neumann recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Antlers will head out on the road to take on the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Elkhorn lost 11-4 to Gretna on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Antlers in their meetings with the Dragons: they've now lost six in a row.

Elkhorn saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caiden Severson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Wahoo/Bishop Neumann came up short against Central City/Centura on Thursday, falling 11-2. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wahoo/Bishop Neumann also got a good showing from Kane Haar, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave Haar a new career-low in walks (zero).

On the hitting side, Alex Barry made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kaden Christen, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Wahoo/Bishop Neumann's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Elkhorn, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Elkhorn skirted past Wahoo/Bishop Neumann 2-1 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Antlers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
