Baseball Recap: Bay Path RVT Takes a Loss

Bay Path RVT suffered their closest defeat since May 3, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Advanced Math & Science Academy Eagles by a score of 5-3. The Minutemen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Jacob Jurado was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Jurado was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Jurado wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Josh Hemingway, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Bay Path RVT's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Advanced Math & Science Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bay Path RVT will challenge Blackstone Valley RVT at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The contest will give the Minutemen their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Advanced Math & Science Academy, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Montachusett RVT at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
