Baseball Recap: Midlakes Turns Things Around After Road Loss

Midlakes's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Hornell on Monday. The Screaming Eagles had just enough and edged out the Bishop Kearney Kings 10-9. This was a revenge game for the Screaming Eagles: when they faced off against the Kings back in April, they had to take a 6-5 loss.

The team relied heavily on Braxton Wilkes, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, five RBI, and one run. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. DJ Wing also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Midlakes' win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Bishop Kearney, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Midlakes didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 loss against Palmyra-Macedon on the 13th. As for Bishop Kearney, they have also already played their next contest, a 12-0 defeat against Kendall on the 14th.
