Basketball Game Preview: Springdale Prep Lions vs. Virginia Academy Patriots

Having just played yesterday, the Springdale Prep Lions will get right back to it and host the Virginia Academy Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Springdale Prep's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 games.

Springdale Prep easily dispatched Prince George's Christian Academy Blue on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Springdale Prep fell just short of Fairfax Christian by a score of 64-62 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Lions have suffered since January 14th.

Meanwhile, Virginia Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 60-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Prince George's Christian Academy Blue.

The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Rondel Jones Jr. and Wisdom Carter. Carter had a solid game and posted ten points and seven rebounds. Meanwhile, Jones Jr. did his best for the losing side, putting up four points.

Springdale Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 22-7. As for Virginia Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12.
