Football Game Preview: Nordonia Knights vs. Twinsburg Tigers

The Nordonia Knights will square off against the Twinsburg Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Twinsburg took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Nordonia, who comes in off a win.

Nordonia took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 34-14 margin over Stow-Munroe Falls. With the Knights ahead 27-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

It was another big night for Steven Fakult, who threw for 289 yards and three TDs. 125 of those passing yards were hauled in by Collin Atha, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Nordonia didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jamiere Davis.

Meanwhile, Twinsburg might've scored the first points on Friday, but it was Brecksville-Broadview Heights who claimed the real prize. The Tigers fell just short of the Bees by a score of 17-14. The game was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Tigers couldn't quite close it out.

Twinsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Nordonia, their record is now 7-3.

Nordonia skirted past Twinsburg 35-33 in their previous meeting on October 3rd. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
