Softball Recap: Mount Horeb Takes a Loss

Mount Horeb came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-1 to the Jefferson Eagles. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Mount Horeb saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Monroe, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Mount Horeb's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Jefferson, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Mount Horeb will challenge Lakeside Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Vikings are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Jefferson, they will host Lake Mills at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
