Basketball Recap: Echols County Takes a Loss

Echols County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Turner County Titans and fell 50-21. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-42 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Echols County still got an impressive performance from Sydni Goss, who posted 14 points and seven rebounds. Jacky Martinez also deserves some recognition as she scored her first point of the season.

Echols County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Turner County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Echols County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 34-27 victory against Valwood on the 6th. As for Turner County, they have also already played their next contest, a 65-46 win against Irwin County on the 4th.
