Baseball Recap: Brockport Blue Devils vs. Mendon Vikings
After flying high against Unatego last Saturday, Brockport came back down to earth. The Brockport Blue Devils lost 16-1 to the Mendon Vikings on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Brockport of the 5-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.
Brockport saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David D'Ambrosia, who went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
Brockport now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Mendon, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.
Brockport didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 1-0 win vs. Irondequoit on the 14th. Mendon has also already played their next contest, a 5-2 victory against Canandaigua Academy on the 14th.
