Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Carondelet). They won by a  run and slipped past the Dublin Gaels  16-15. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by  just one  run.
The team  relied heavily on  Angela Gates, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Norie Umene, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI.
 Carondelet was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .444. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
The  victory made it two in a row for Carondelet and  bumps their season record up to 7-10. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Dublin, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the  loss, which was their 11th straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carondelet will welcome Monte Vista  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Dublin, they will host Heritage  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
