Volleyball Recap: Pioneer Victorious

After losing to Cosumnes Oaks the last time they met, Pioneer decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Patriots came out on top against the Wolfpack by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

Ally Nunez paced Pioneer's offense, picking up seven kills. Nunez got some help from Anika Hildebrandt and her seven assists. Nunez also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Paige Bishop, racking up two apiece.

Pioneer now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Cosumnes Oaks, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Pioneer has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Liberty Ranch on the 23rd. As for Cosumnes Oaks, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Christian Brothers on the 23rd.
