Rancho Verde hadn't done well against Heritage recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 3-1. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Patriots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2019.

While Rancho Verde might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Heritage scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 22-25, 25-18, 26-24.

Rancho Verde is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Heritage, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Rancho Verde is set to square off against their familiar foe Canyon Springs at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Heritage will face off against rival Orange Vista at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
