Volleyball Recap: Clermont Northeastern Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Gracey Elfers and Mckenna Mcevoy

Clermont Northeastern lost against Miami Valley Christian Academy back in October of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rockets fell 3-1 to the Lions. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

McKenna McEvoy and Gracey Elfers certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. McEvoy had 12 digs and four aces, while Elfers had 11 digs. McEvoy is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Charlotte Strouble had a dynamite game For Miami Valley Christian Academy., getting 19 digs and five assists. That's the most digs Strouble has posted over her last seven matchups. Ayla DeBra also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Clermont Northeastern's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Miami Valley Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Clermont Northeastern didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Peebles on the 27th. As for Miami Valley Christian Academy, they will square off against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
