Volleyball Recap: Valley Vikings vs. Virgin Valley Bulldogs
After flying high against Mater Academy East Las Vegas last Wednesday, Valley came back down to earth. Valley fell just short of the Virgin Valley Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.
Valley might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Virgin Valley: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 25-27, 22-25, 15-12.
Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Virgin Valley, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-4.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Valley will face off against rival Cristo Rey St. Viator at 6:00 p.m. on the 9th. Meanwhile, Virgin Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Founders Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
