Soccer Recap: Irmo Comes Up Short

Irmo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the White Knoll Timberwolves who were credited with the win. The White Knoll Timberwolves got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Irmo Yellow Jackets' four. Irmo were not able to make up for their loss to White Knoll from their previous meeting back in April of 2018.

Irmo's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for White Knoll, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Irmo is set to take on their familiar foe Chapin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, White Knoll will square off against rival Lexington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
