Alexander Mercurius put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in May of 2024 on Friday. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
