Volleyball Recap: Franklin Monroe Comes Up Short

Franklin Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Dayton Christian WARRIORS. If the Jets were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the WARRIORS when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-9, 25-4.

Katie Waller paced Franklin Monroe's offense, picking up four kills. Waller got some help from Brooklyn Miller and her three assists. Finally, Lillian Heck and Quincy Cox kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked two attacks.

Franklin Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Dayton Christian, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Franklin Monroe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Arcanum on the 8th. As for Dayton Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Brookville on the 9th.
