Basketball Game Preview: North Eagles vs. Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans

North is 9-1 against Ridge Spring-Monetta since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The North Eagles will be playing at home against the Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans at 7:30 p.m. North knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matches -- so hopefully Ridge Spring-Monetta likes a good challenge.

On Friday, North was able to grind out a solid win over Blackville-Hilda, taking the game 82-69.

Stetson Stacks continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 28 points and ten steals. The contest was his 19th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jasiah Jackson, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine assists.

North smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Ridge Spring-Monetta beat Wagener-Salley 43-36 on Friday. That seven point margin sets a new team best for the Trojans this season.

North has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.2 points per game. As for Ridge Spring-Monetta, their victory bumped their record up to 4-14.

North strolled past Ridge Spring-Monetta when the teams last played on Thursday by a score of 74-57. Will North repeat their success, or does Ridge Spring-Monetta have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
