Gridley suffered their biggest loss since December 14, 2024 on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Las Plumas Thunderbirds 82-55. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Gridley still got an impressive performance from Max Tolman, who posted 17 points. Tolman is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Bikram Kullar, who put up 11 points and five rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Las Plumas to victory, but perhaps none more so than T.J. Thompson, who went 6 of 8 from beyond the arc on his way to 22 points along with eight assists and eight boards. The dominant performance gave Thompson a new career-high in rebounds. Casmir Jones was another key player, going 8 for 13 en route to 22 points and five boards.

Gridley's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Las Plumas, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Gridley has already played their next matchup, a 66-40 win against Corning on the 17th. As for Las Plumas, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-34 victory against Live Oak on the 17th.
