Basketball Recap: Tahoka Takes a Loss

Tahoka lost against New Home back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tahoka Bulldogs were beaten by the New Home Leopards 68-38. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1156th, while the Leopards are ranked 206th).

Despite the loss, Tahoka still got an impressive performance from Sacha Loi, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Kessler, who posted ten points.

Tahoka is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10. As for New Home, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

When Tahoka and New Home next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Tahoka will try to stop New Deal's three-game winning streak when the meet at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, New Home will try to stop Floydada's three-game winning streak when the meet at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
