Amarillo posted their closest win since August 15th on Friday. They won by a set and slipped past the McKinney Lions 2-1. The Sandies haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Amarillo got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 20-25, 25-13.

Amarillo's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for McKinney, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Amarillo will take on Eagle Mountain in a tournament on Saturday. As for McKinney, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Plano at 6:30 p.m.
