Baseball Recap: Caney Valley Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Caney Valley's offense. They came up short against the Ketchum Warriors on Thursday, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 last Tuesday.

Caney Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Preston Gipson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Caney Valley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Ketchum, the win was the 17th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caney Valley will take on Fairland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ketchum, they will challenge Kansas at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
