The Queen Creek Bulldogs will face off against the Sunnyside Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Queen Creek is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Queen Creek is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: O'Connor, who was ranked 12th at the time (Queen Creek was ranked 18th). The Bulldogs fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 6-5 on Saturday. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by just one run.

Queen Creek got a good showing from Brayden Kitmitto, who tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Kitmitto has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tait Reynolds was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jet Berry, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Sunnyside's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Corona del Sol by a score of 2-1.

This is the second loss in a row for Queen Creek and nudges their season record down to 17-12. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Sunnyside, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-9.
