Basketball Preview: Iroquois Braves vs. North East Grape Pickers
Iroquois is 0-10 against the Grape Pickers since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Iroquois Braves will head out on the road to challenge the North East Grape Pickers at 7:30 p.m. Iroquois is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, Iroquois came up short against the Bobcats and fell 60-53.
The losing side was boosted by Devin Brink, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kellen Burroughs, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Erie First Christian Academy scored an imposing 58 points on Friday, North East still came out on top. North East walked away with a 66-58 victory over the. The win made it back-to-back wins for North East.
Iroquois has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for North East, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Iroquois might still be hurting after the 56-33 loss they got from the Grape Pickers when the teams last played back in January. Can Iroquois avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
