Softball Recap: Hudson's Bay Takes a Loss

Hudson's Bay had lost six straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 1-9 to make it seven. They lost 23-3 to the Hockinson Hawks. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 12-2 to the Hawks when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Hockinson, their record now sits at 5-7. The game marked their most dominant win of the season.

For Hockinson's part, Renee Waddle was incredible, going 1-for-3 with 11 stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those 11 stolen bases gave Waddle a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maggie Ritton, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hudson's Bay is set to challenge their familiar foe R.A. Long at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Hockinson will face off against rival Columbia River at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
