Paul VI gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Timber Creek Regional Chargers as they made off with a 34-8 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Eagles just coasted through the last quarter.

When it comes to explaining why Timber Creek Regional lost, don't look at Zyeir Green. Despite the final result, he picked up 56 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 34 yards.

Looking ahead, Paul VI will host St. Augustine Prep at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Timber Creek Regional, they will head out to take on Notre Dame at 6:00 p.m. on September 5.
