Recap: DSST: Green Valley Ranch Raptors vs. Manual Thunderbolts
The DSST: Green Valley Ranch Raptors suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Manual, falling 56-8. DSST: Green Valley Ranch has struggled against Manual recently, as their match on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Manual's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dayjah Fox led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Fox has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaci Collins-Falcon, who scored 16 points.
DSST: Green Valley Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Manual, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-7 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DSST: Green Valley Ranch will take on Adams City at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Manual won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Stargate School at 5:00 p.m. on January 24th. Stargate School comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
