McQueen has gone 8-2 against Carson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Lancers will welcome the Senators at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

McQueen heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Tuesday. They lost 9-3 to Bishop Manogue. The Lancers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

McQueen saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vanessa Bein, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Carson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against Reed, falling 12-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Kiele Franco made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double. Another player making a difference was Lillian Barker, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base.

Carson's defeat dropped their record down to 9-17-1. As for McQueen, their loss dropped their record down to 18-14.

Carson's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: McQueen has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. It's a different story for Carson, though, as they've been averaging 9.6 hits. Given McQueen's sizable advantage in that area, the Senators will need to find a way to close that gap.

McQueen couldn't quite get it done against Carson in their previous matchup two weeks ago as they fell 10-5. Can the Lancers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
