Football Game Preview: Oregon City Pioneers vs. South Medford Panthers + How To Watch

The Oregon City Pioneers will challenge the South Medford Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oregon City has given up an average of 29.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Thursday, Oregon City had to suffer through a 49-14 loss at the hands of West Linn. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Lions are ranked first).

Meanwhile, South Medford came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Black Tornado, posting a 30-0 victory. That looming 30-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.

Oregon City has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for South Medford, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
