Football Game Preview: Thoreau vs. Wingate

Thoreau will challenge Wingate on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Thoreau will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.

Thoreau had a rough outing against Tohatchi two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Thoreau captured a comfortable 30-14 win over Crownpoint. The win was a breath of fresh air for Thoreau as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Wingate, and their contest last Friday only extended their streak of losses to six. They took a hard 22-38 fall against Shiprock.

Everything went Thoreau's way against Wingate the last time the two teams met as they made off with a 30-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Thoreau since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
