Basketball Recap: Mountain Lakes Takes a Loss

After flying high against Dover last Thursday, Mountain Lakes came back down to earth. The Mountain Lakes Lakers took a 34-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Villa Walsh Academy Vikings. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Lakers came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Vikings are ranked 142nd).

Mountain Lakes' loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Villa Walsh Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

While Mountain Lakes had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
