Baseball Recap: Old Colony RVT Beats South Shore Vo-Tech for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Old Colony RVT entered their tilt with South Shore Vo-Tech on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 7-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-5 two weeks ago.

Chase LaFountain spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Aiden Deree, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Camden Valle, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Old Colony RVT pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for South Shore Vo-Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.
