Football Recap: Lassiter Starts Season with Win on the Road + How To Watch

Lassiter had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Midtown Knights 44-12 on Friday. With the Trojans ahead 28-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Lassiter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mitch Seaman led the charge by throwing for 240 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes, while also rushing for 55 yards and one TD. Those three passing touchdowns gave Seaman a new career-high. Lassiter's leading receiver Collins Price was Seaman's top target yet again, picking up 132 receiving yards and three scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lassiter was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 244 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Midtown only rushed for 75 rushing yards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lassiter will venture away from home to face off against Alexander at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Midtown, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Druid Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
