Basketball Game Preview: Cutter-Morning Star Eagles vs. England Lions

Cutter-Morning Star and England are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Cutter-Morning Star Eagles will take on the England Lions in a tournament on Friday.

Cutter-Morning Star is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Fordyce just ended the team's three-game winning streak last Thursday. They took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Redbugs.

Meanwhile, England entered their tilt with Lonoke on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Jackrabbits by a score of 65-53. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Jackrabbits are ranked 207th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

England's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Cutter-Morning Star, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-7.

Cutter-Morning Star came out on top in a nail-biter against England in their previous meeting back in February, sneaking past 52-49. Will Cutter-Morning Star repeat their success, or does England have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
