Preview: Mount Horeb/Barneveld Vikings vs. Notre Dame Academy Tritons
Mount Horeb/Barneveld has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against The Notre Dame Academy Tritons at TBD on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Mount Horeb/Barneveld made easy work of Baraboo and carried off a 38-13 win. Given Mount Horeb/Barneveld's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while Baraboo is ranked 111th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kasey Helgeson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 211 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Helgeson hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games. Christopher Kiel also helped out with an impressive 104 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Notre Dame Academy entered their tilt with Fox Valley Lutheran with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Notre Dame Academy breezed by Fox Valley Lutheran on the road to the tune of 49-10. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Notre Dame Academy just coasted through the last quarter.
Their wins bumped Mount Horeb/Barneveld to 11-0 and Notre Dame Academy to 10-1.
