Basketball Recap: Woodland Gets the Win

Woodland won the last time they faced Ola and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Woodland Wolfpack secured a 78-73 W over the Ola Mustangs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolfpack.

It was another big night for Omari Scott, who went 11 of 16 en route to 28 points and three steals. Christian Myers was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacqui Page, who went 11 for 21 on his way to 30 points. The dominant performance also gave Page a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Matin Bello, who went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points along with five assists and five boards.

Woodland has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Ola, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

Woodland will square off against Stockbridge at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Woodland is facing Stockbridge at the right time seeing as Stockbridge is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. Ola has already played their next contest (against Jones County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
