Soccer Recap: Jasper Victorious

In Thursday's Canine Competition, Jasper prevailed. They skirted past the San Augustine Wolves 3-2. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while Wolves are ranked 742nd), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jacob Richard and Jaesyn Flores scored all three of Jasper's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Jasper's win bumped their record up to 5-2-1. As for San Augustine, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6-1.

Jasper wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Corrigan-Camden on the 24th. San Augustine has also already played their next game, a 1-1 draw against Trinity on the 24th.
