Softball Recap: Mccurdy's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

McCurdy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Mora, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bobcats put the hurt on the Rangers/Rangerettes with a sharp 22-16 win on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bobcats as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Mariana Arambula was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and two stolen bases while going 5-for-5. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Karina Archuleta was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-4.

McCurdy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .562. Their batting average was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .400 that Mora posted.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-9. As for Mora, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-4 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Rangers/Rangerettes beat McCurdy by a score of 7-5 later that day.
