Recap: Weaver Beavers vs. Bulkeley Bulldogs
In what's become a running theme this season, the Weaver Beavers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They blew past Bulkeley, posting a 84-44 win at home. That's another feather in the cap for Weaver, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Madden Cupe, who scored 21 points along with two steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jy'ere Perry, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Weaver has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Bulkeley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weaver will take on Achievement First at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Weaver has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,157 points over their last 15 games. As for Bulkeley, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against University at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. University is coming into the contest with four straight defeats on the road, so Bulkeley is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
