Baseball Recap: Vista Del Lago Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game, Vista del Lago was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They never let the Inderkum Tigers get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Tigers last Thursday, they had to take a 13-3 defeat.

David Wright looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, Vista del Lago's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Shane Hargraves, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Hargraves has posted since back in May of 2024.

Vista del Lago is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. Inderkum now has a losing record of 5-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vista del Lago will venture away from home to take on West Park at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Vista del Lago's pitchers better be ready for this one: West Park has averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season. As for Inderkum, they will head out on the road to challenge Bella Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
