Basketball Preview: Highmore/Harrold Pirates vs. Philip Scotties
The Highmore/Harrold Pirates will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Philip Scotties. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Highmore/Harrold sitting on five straight wins and the Scotties on four.
Highmore/Harrold only won by two when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 26-point they dealt the Crusaders on Tuesday. Highmore/Harrold blew past the Crusaders 62-36.
Meanwhile, Philip scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Lead-Deadwood out 75-72. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Highmore/Harrold has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Philip, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5.
Highmore/Harrold came up short against the Scotties in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 61-53. Can Highmore/Harrold avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
