Tay Starks' Big Game Leads Munford over Lausanne Collegiate
Tay Starks was instrumental in extending Munford's winning streak to eight on Friday. Starks did his part (and then some), rushing for 250 yards and four touchdowns for the 'W'. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Munford pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Starks and Munford will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Memphis Central at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.

Munford picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Bricen Turnage. Lausanne Collegiate had no answer to Turnage as he rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also threw for 27 yards and a touchdown. Turnage's longest rush was for an impressive 52 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
This year, Turnage has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 86.6 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown.

Southwind Wins Fourth-Straight Thanks to Kelvin Perkins
Kelvin Perkins's big game helped extend Southwind's winning streak to four on Friday. Nobody could stop Perkins as he threw for 138 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.
If the past is any indication, Perkins could be in store for another big game when he takes on Kirby on Friday. Perkins threw for 155 yards and five touchdowns on only ten passes the last time he and the Cougars duked it out back in October of 2023.
