Soccer Game Preview: Currituck County vs. First Flight

The Currituck County Knights will head out on the road to face off against the First Flight Nighthawks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

First Flight will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Currituck County extended their winning streak to four on Monday. The Knights never let Pasquotank County get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. Currituck County's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matches.

Meanwhile, First Flight got the win against Hertford County on Monday by a conclusive 9-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering First Flight's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 108th, while Hertford County are ranked 542nd).

Currituck County's record now sits at 15-3-1. As for First Flight, their record is now an identical 15-3-1.

Currituck County came up short against First Flight when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 2-0. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
