Football Recap: Tyler Lions vs. Red Oak Hawks
Tyler lost to Red Oak back in November of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Lions came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 45-33.

Tyler was led to victory by Cadarius McMiller and Caden J Granberry. McMiller gained 128 total yards and four touchdowns, while J Granberry threw for 352 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.4% of his passes. Those 352 passing yards gave J Granberry a new career-high. A healthy portion of J Granberry's aerial production (105 yards to be exact) went to Davion Sirles.
Red Oak lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Billy Middleton, who rushed for 210 yards and one TD while picking up 10.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 181 yards and one touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run. Renard Thomas III also helped out as he racked up 115 rushing yards.
Tyler's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Red Oak, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5.
Coming up, Tyler will square off against Cedar Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Timberwolves will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. Red Oak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
