Basketball Recap: Lamar Comes Up Short

Lamar and Seven Lakes squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Lamar had to settle for second. They had to suffer through an 84-51 loss at the hands of the Seven Lakes Spartans. The loss continues a trend for the Texans in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now lost four in a row.

Lamar's defeat dropped their record down to 18-16. As for Seven Lakes, the victory (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 32-5.

Lamar does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seven Lakes, they will square off against Atascocita on Monday. Seven Lakes knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 contests -- so hopefully Atascocita likes a good challenge.
