Volleyball Recap: Fullerton Comes Up Short

Fullerton was the 2-1 winner over Chambers/Wheeler Central when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell just short of the Renegades by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Fullerton sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 18-25, 25-19.

Riley Thomas paced Fullerton's offense, picking up eight kills. Thomas got some help from Georgia Bridger and her 15 assists. Bridger was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Fullerton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Chambers/Wheeler Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-12.

Looking ahead, Fullerton will be playing at home against East Butler on Tuesday. Chambers/Wheeler Central has already played their next match (against North Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
