After losing to Lancaster the last time they met, Prairie du Chien decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Blackhawks had just enough and edged out the Flying Arrows 7-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blackhawks.

Claire Kennedy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Rita Achenbach, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Irelynd Cejka, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Prairie du Chien's record is now 14-4. As for Lancaster, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prairie du Chien will challenge Mineral Point at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pointers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Blackhawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lancaster, they will square off against Dodgeville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
