Softball Recap: Newton-Conover Comes Up Short

Newton-Conover fell victim to West Lincoln and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 20-0 to the Rebels. The Red Devils have struggled against the Rebels recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Newton-Conover's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for West Lincoln, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Newton-Conover will head out on the road to square off against Bandys at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Red Devils surely won't give up without a fight. As for West Lincoln, they will face off against West Caldwell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Warriors have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
