Geneva has gone 8-2 against Lake Mary Prep recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Geneva Knights will be playing at home against the Lake Mary Prep Griffins at 4:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Geneva's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Lake Mary Prep has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Geneva's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Holy Cross Lutheran Academy as Geneva made off with a 22-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Knights considering their one-run performance the game before.

Matty Siniki was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Siniki was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Wyatt Strokes and Jeremiah Kavanah did most of the damage at the plate: Strokes scored three runs while going 2-for-4, while Kavanah scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most runs Kavanah has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Luke Shaw, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Geneva hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Lake Mary Prep came up short against Orlando Christian Prep on Thursday, falling 9-3.

Lake Mary Prep saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Trauger, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Lake Mary Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Geneva, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Everything went Geneva's way against Lake Mary Prep in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Geneva made off with a 17-7 win. Does Geneva have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lake Mary Prep turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
