Baseball Recap: York Starts Season with Win Against Yarmouth

York took care of business in their home opener on Thursday. They came out on top against the Yarmouth Clippers by a score of 17-13. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 5-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

Robbie Hanscom was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Ober, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. York will head out to take on Biddeford at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Yarmouth, they will square off against Lake Region at 1:00 p.m. on the 26th.
