Eastbrook and Elwood are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. Eastbrook will head out on the road to face off against Elwood at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastbrook is coming into the game hot, having won their last 11 games.

Eastbrook will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Saturday, then bounced right back against Madison-Grant on Saturday. The Panthers walked away with a 14-10 victory over the Argylls.

Sheridan hit Elwood with a four-run sixth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers lost 11-1 to the Blackhawks.

Bentlee Pierce was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI. He has become a key player for Elwood: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 3-7 otherwise.

Eastbrook's win bumped their record up to 17-1. As for Elwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Everything went Eastbrook's way against Elwood in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Eastbrook made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eastbrook since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
